FuseTools is a macOS menu bar utility application. This Privacy Policy explains how FuseTools accesses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the application.
1. Our Privacy Approach
FuseTools is designed to process information locally on your Mac.
FuseTools does not:
- Create user accounts
- Collect personal information
- Upload your content to our servers
- Sell or rent user information
- Track users across apps or websites
- Include third-party advertising
- Use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
- Share user information with third parties
We do not operate a server that receives information from FuseTools.
2. Information Processed on Your Mac
Certain FuseTools features require access to local system information. This information is processed on your Mac to provide the feature you requested and is not transmitted to us.
Clipboard History
When Clipboard History is enabled, FuseTools monitors the macOS clipboard and temporarily keeps recent copied text and images so you can search, pin, and copy them again.
Clipboard contents:
- Are processed locally on your Mac
- Are not uploaded or transmitted to us
- Are not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking
- Remain in the app’s temporary in-memory history
- Can be removed using the available clear or delete controls
- Are discarded when the app is closed
Disabling Clipboard History stops clipboard monitoring.
Paste Plain Text
The Paste Plain Text feature accesses the current clipboard item to remove formatting and return plain text to the clipboard.
The clipboard content is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.
If you enable its system-wide shortcut, macOS may request Accessibility permission so FuseTools can simulate the paste keyboard command.
Camera Guard
Camera Guard may request camera permission to check:
- Whether a compatible camera is available
- The camera’s name
- Whether the camera appears to be in use
- Whether a known camera-capable application is running
FuseTools does not capture, record, save, or transmit photographs or video.
Camera-related information is processed locally and is not sent to us.
Microphone Mute
The Microphone Mute feature checks and changes the mute state or input volume of your Mac’s default microphone.
FuseTools does not record, store, listen to, or transmit microphone audio.
Network Meter
Network Meter reads local network interface statistics to calculate approximate upload and download speeds.
FuseTools does not inspect:
- The contents of your internet traffic
- Websites you visit
- Messages or files you transmit
- Network passwords
- Browsing history
Network statistics are processed locally and are not sent to us.
CPU and RAM Monitor
The resource monitor reads local system information such as memory and processor usage. This information is displayed only inside FuseTools and is not transmitted to us.
Battery Percentage
The Battery Percentage feature reads your Mac’s current battery status and displays it in the menu bar. Battery information is processed locally and is not sent to us.
Color Picker
The Color Picker reads the color of a pixel selected on your screen and provides corresponding color values, such as HEX, RGB, and HSL.
FuseTools does not record your screen or transmit screen content to us.
Quick Commands
Quick Commands allows you to save and run Terminal or shell commands on your Mac.
Saved commands and related preferences are stored locally using macOS application storage. Command execution happens locally on your device.
Commands you create may access files, applications, networks, or services depending on their contents. You are responsible for reviewing and understanding a command before running it.
FuseTools does not receive the commands you save or their output.
Keep Awake and Desktop Controls
Keep Awake settings, enabled modules, timers, and similar preferences may be stored locally so FuseTools can remember your choices.
The Hide Desktop Icons feature modifies a local macOS Finder preference. No related information is transmitted to us.
3. Locally Stored Information
FuseTools may store the following information locally:
- Enabled or disabled modules
- Keep Awake preferences
- Saved Quick Commands
- General application settings
This information remains on your Mac and is not accessible to us. You can remove locally stored information by resetting relevant settings or uninstalling FuseTools.
4. Permissions
Depending on the features you use, macOS may request permission for:
- Camera access
- Accessibility access
- Launching FuseTools at login
- Other system capabilities required by selected features
Permissions are controlled through macOS System Settings. You can review or revoke them at any time. Some features may stop working if their required permission is revoked.
5. Data Collection, Tracking, and Advertising
FuseTools does not collect data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
FuseTools does not use your information to identify you and does not track your activity across apps, services, or websites.
6. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information because FuseTools does not transmit or collect personal information from the app.
7. Third-Party Services
FuseTools does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
When you download FuseTools through Apple’s App Store, Apple may independently process information related to purchases, downloads, diagnostics, or App Store activity. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies.
8. Data Security
FuseTools uses the security protections provided by macOS, including application sandboxing where applicable.
Although we design FuseTools to minimize data collection and keep processing local, no software environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid saving sensitive Terminal commands or clipboard information on shared or untrusted Macs.
9. Children’s Privacy
FuseTools is not designed to collect personal information from children or any other users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International Users
Because FuseTools processes its application information locally and does not transmit it to our servers, we do not transfer app-collected personal information between countries.
Apple may process App Store-related information under its own policies and infrastructure.
11. Your Choices
You can control FuseTools’ access and behavior by:
- Disabling individual modules
- Clearing clipboard history
- Deleting saved Quick Commands
- Revoking permissions through macOS System Settings
- Disabling launch at login
- Uninstalling FuseTools
Because we do not maintain user accounts or receive personal information from the app, we generally do not possess user data that can be accessed, corrected, exported, or deleted on our servers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if FuseTools’ features, permissions, or data practices change.
When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the application, its website, or App Store release notes.
